It's a miracle!

Today I started potty training Carsen again. YIKES! So every hour I plan on sitting him on the potty to go. The first time I put him on he went! YES!!!!! I'm hoping that I can get him to go atleast one more time today so I can feel a little successful.
I have to say though it was a pretty sad sight to see me jumping up and down in the bathroom, giving Carsen a high five and screaming "Yay Carsen you did it". He finally got those markers we told him he could have about 2 months ago though. He was pretty excited too and said "let's do it again". I'm hoping he will!

Happy Birthday, Hannah Elizabeth!!!! I know this isn't exactly the best "birthday" picture but it's been one of those days! Hopefully we can get a few that are better later today when we let her have her yummy cake.

Potty Time!

Are you kidding me? How am I supposed to go about potty training a 2 year old! It seems almost impossible to me. For now we are taking a break from it all because Carsen just hates to sit on the potty. He thinks he's supposed to pee anywhere in the house but on the potty... the shower, floors, kitchen. I love that little boy but man is he stubborn!! Next week I'll probably start up again and just deals with the screams coming from the bathroom... he has to think it's ok sometime... right??

So as you can see I still can't get a picture of the two of them together but these single shots sure do say a lot!!! Carsen is wild and crazy as always and Hannah is always looking for attention. Carsen has been talking a lot more clearly lately and he just randomly walks into a room and says "Hi guys, what you doing". Hannah has been crawling around all day today saying "Hi" to everything. She says that and "da da" and sometime "mama" but only when she's crying. Still no walking and I bet she'll be like Carsen and he didn't walk till he was 15 months. As long as she can walk by summer!!!!

Hannah's 1st birthday is on Wednesday and I can't believe it. Where does a year go?

Things kids say!

So usually every night I rub lotion on Carsen's legs and feet because he loves it. Last night I was doing just that and when I was done he wanted lotion on his hands. Then he went to the other end of the couch and said "Mama, toe toes... quick, quick" He wanted to rub lotion on my feet! It was pretty cute.
Also I've started to potty train him what a process that will be. He asks to go on the potty all the time but then once I get him in there he screams because he doesn't want to be in there. He actually did go once today so we made a big deal out of it and gave him a prize (finger paints). Not the best prize to give if you don't want a mess so I need to make a trip to the dollar store. Hopefully he get used to it in the next week or so!!

11 months

Well Hannah is 11 months old today so I have to add my picture that I take of her every month. She's getting so big and also getting into everything. She now understands the word "no"! She's had a very rough month of teething. Hannah has gotten a tooth a week for the last 6 weeks so I think she is due for a break.... and us too.

I'm very excited to be planning her first birthday but it's also a little sad. I'm sure I'll cry on her birthday just like I did on Carsen's first birthday. It's just what I do :)

Basketball lover

So how crazy is it that my 2 year old begs and begs to watch Michael Jordan dvd's!! All day he runs around saying "Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan" until I put it in for him to watch. Talk about being like his father!

Carsen even sits calmy to watch them and is so into while its on.
